Coliscan Water Monitoring Kit

With a patented combination of color-producing chemicals and nutrients, Coliscan allows for easy visual identification of coliforms and E. coli in water. When a water sample is added to the Coliscan medium, coliform bacteria grow as pink-magenta colonies, and E. coli grow as purple-blue colonies. Other bacteria usually grow as non-colored colonies. Ideal for sample sizes of 1 to 5 ml, this method uses Coliscan Easygel to test river water or other samples which have a sizable population of coliforms and/or E. coli. Just add the water sample (up to 5 ml) directly to the bottle of Coliscan Easygel, swirl, pour into a pre-treated Easygel petri dish, and incubate to obtain results. Kit includes 10 Coliscan Easygel bottles, 10 pre-treated Easygel petri dishes, 10 1 ml droppers, 10 sterile 30 ml collection bottles, and instructions. Performs 10 tests.

Do I need to incubate the sample for accuracy or can I place the petri dish sample in a warm area of my house and still get accurate results? Do I need to incubate the sample for accuracy or can I place the petri dish sample in a warm area of my house and still get accurate results?
Accurate results can be obtained by allowing the test to incubate at room temperatures. An incubator will decrease incubation times.
